Academic Achievements – Summer 2025

Key Stage 4 – GCSE Results

We are immensely proud of the achievements of our Key Stage 4 students in the summer of 2025. Over the past three years, our learners have consistently demonstrated strong academic progress, reflecting the strength of our broad and inclusive curriculum and the high-quality teaching they receive.

This year, our students celebrated exceptional GCSE results:

  • 20% of students achieved grades 7–9 (equivalent to A**–A).
  • 67% of students attained five or more GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A**–C).

These outcomes are a testament to the dedication, resilience, and ambition of our students, supported by the unwavering commitment of our staff. Students excelled across a wide range of subjects, showcasing the diverse talents nurtured at Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre.

We remain committed to preparing students not only for academic success but for life beyond the classroom. Our curriculum fosters the development of essential skills, values, and confidence, empowering students to embrace future opportunities with courage and curiosity.

Please note: In 2025, the Department for Education did not publish national performance data, including Progress 8 measures. As a result, schools have been advised not to publish detailed results on their websites, due to the absence of comparative data across schools. While we are proud to share highlights of our students’ achievements, we remain committed to transparency and will continue to celebrate success in line with national guidance.

Key Stage 5 – A Level and BTEC Results

We are delighted to report that our A level and BTEC results place Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre in the top 25% of schools nationally.

This is a remarkable achievement and reflects the strength of our academic provision and the dedication of our students and staff.

Our Year 13 students have once again demonstrated exceptional commitment and resilience in their studies, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.

In 2025:

  • 56% of A Level students achieved grades A–B*.
  • 28% attained the highest grades of A–A*.

These outstanding results are a reflection of the strong academic ethos at Wyedean, and the exceptional support provided by our dedicated team of Sixth Form teachers and pastoral staff. Being recognised in the top quartile nationally is a significant accolade and highlights the quality of education and support our students receive.

Our students have progressed to exciting and appropriate destinations, including:

  • University study in disciplines such as Medicine, Law, Engineering, Philosophy, History, Journalism, Economics, Art, and Midwifery.
  • Admissions to prestigious institutions, including Oxford, Cambridge, and other Russell Group universities.
  • Competitive apprenticeships, offering valuable hands-on experience alongside continued learning.
  • Direct entry into employment, where students are already making their mark across a range of industries.

At Wyedean, we believe that success is defined not only by academic outcomes but by the growth, integrity, and effort demonstrated throughout each student’s journey. We celebrate every achievement and remain committed to supporting our learners as they take their next steps with confidence and purpose.

Results 2024

2024 - GCSE

Wyedean School and Sixth form is delighted to share that year 11 students have fared exceptionally well in this year’s GCSE and vocational exams. Joining us in the 2019-2020 academic year they did not have a straightforward transition due to COVID 19. Their first full year in secondary education did not happen until year 9. Despite this, they have worked incredibly hard and overcome many obstacles to achieve their results today.

As with every year group, there are too many students to mention who have achieved the top grades of 7 to 9 (equivalent to an A, A* and A** in old grades) and we are also exceptionally keen to highlight the success of every student at Wyedean as we know that each student has unique challenges making every grade worth celebrating.

Please note 32% of our cohort were from Welsh primary schools. Data included on this website represents all student outcomes.

2024 A Levels and BTECs

Wyedean School and Sixth form is proud to announce the exceptional achievements of its students in this summer’s A level and BTEC examinations.

This year's results reflect the dedication, hard work, and resilience of our students, and we congratulate each of them on their achievements. Whilst this year group achieved a record number of A*s, A and B grades, we wish to highlight the success of every student for their best endeavours and achievements this summer.

Mrs Jeremiah, Principal of Wyedean School and Sixth form centre, praised the students and staff for their unwavering commitment:

"We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements this year. Their success is a testament to their hard work, the dedication of their teachers and support staff, along with unrelenting support from parents and carers. Well done to everyone and best of luck in your next steps wherever that may be"
