This week in PSHEE lessons students have been using the Behaviour for Learning report (issued last Friday) to help them reflect on their approach to learning this term. As part of this process students have identified what has worked well for them and also set key targets to assist their learning next term. Today, they will be bringing this reflection sheet home to share with you, please read through them and if you have any questions or concerns about the report; please feel free to contact us at school.

 In order to support students this term we have been focusing on study skills. One of the key skills we are encouraging students to focus on is Review and Transform. For more information on this, here is a link to a video/ assembly led by Vice Principal, Julie Smith on Review and Transform and Study skills. There is also an additional you tube video on general study skills. Whilst mock examinations are scheduled for next summer, students are routinely asked to recall information in low stakes tests and classroom assessments, so these are good skills to become familiar with.

 In response to parents and carers requests for information to help support their son/daughter at home, please find attached a presentation which includes key information for support in each subject. Subjects have provided: links to the syllabus, knowledge organisers and online resources. 

 Next half term in PSHEE we are giving students an opportunity to focus on personal development. During these lessons students get to choose an activity that will challenge them or require them to contribute to the Wyedean community. We are hoping that some of these opportunities can be used to help students strengthen their CV and Letter of Application in careers lessons prior to Christmas. We will also use our careers lesson to share more information about Work experience. 

 Also, on a final note, thanks for your support this half term with uniform. Please could you continue with this by ensuring that students have plain black trainers on and have a natural colour hair as specified in the home school policy ( link below).
